We have put together a few ideas on how you can immerse yourself in the fascinating OUTDOOR world of experience with your children in and around Interlaken!
Adventure Park Interlaken

The park is ideal for the whole family. The big ones find their challenge 20 meters above the ground, while the little ones have fun on the butterfly course near the ground. The forest floor is full with carved tree trunks, a slackline, tables and benches for a picnic and not to forget a bbq ready for use.
Family Rafting

"Family Rafting" is a child-friendly, gentle white water river trip that ends in the beautiful turquoise-blue Lake Brienz. The river has gentle rapids on the lower part, which makes this tour a safe river trip. Well equipped, you paddle towards Lake Brienz under the guidance of a professional guide.
The trip is ideal for the slightly larger children who have ants in their pants, want something different to hiking and can't wait to immerse themselves in the adventurous world of outdoor sports.
Combined with the Interlaken Adventure Park, you will experience an unforgettable day full of adventure!
CLIMBING - TASTER COURSE

Located in the beautiful climbing area of the Grindelwald glacier gorge, this course gives you an overview of everything related to climbing. Knot tying, safety techniques, basic positions on the rock and many tips and tricks from the professionals. At the entrance to the glacier gorge in Grindelwald, the grey rock immediately catch the eye. Mostly made up of round, smooth handholds, and always well secured. The course is ideal for the whole family.
There is the possibility for families from 4 people to form a private group, so children from 5 years can take part in the course. Children aged 14 and over can join adult groups.
Family Kayak Fun

This activity promises lots of fun on the water for the whole family. You become the captain of your own boat, go swimming at a hidden beach, and try various tricks with the kayak. The hours are packed with games and challenges and will definitely make you want more. An important requirement is the ability to swim and not afraid of the cool water.
Glacier Canyon, Grindelwald

This excursion is an attraction for young and old. For thousands of years, Mother Nature has created an impressive work of art with the glacier water! The masses of water in the Lütschine roar between the vertically sloping rock walls with deafening noise. The staging of the glacier gorge is divided into various themes and provides a great insight into the past.
The blue, eye-catching “Spiderweb” network construction provides a special thrill - a walk-in suspended net which spans the gorge and is illuminated with blue and purple spotlights.
There is also a restaurant near the entrance (Hotel Gletscherschlucht), which has a playground, fantastic burgers and invites you to hang out in a great atmosphere.
Hiking the Munggi-weg in Grindelwald – and everyday the Marmot greets you

You start from the mountain station First, and on the way towards Grosse Scheidegg the search for the marmots begins. The hike takes about 2.5 hours and impresses with its beautiful panorama of the mountain scenery of the Bernese Oberland. If the marmots don't want to show up, you might see a large herd of Chamois in the immediate vicinity, which is just as impressive for young and old.
This family outing is complemented by a Munggi booklet, which is given free of charge at the Firstbahn and takes the children on the adventure trip of Munggi and his friends.
On top of Schynige Platte

Schynige Platte is definitely worth a visit. The nostalgic train runs from Wilderswil near Interlaken and takes 50 minutes. During the trip visitors enjoy a wonderful view of the famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. Schynige Platte is a starting point for many famous hikes and the Alpine Garden is also located there, where 600 plant species grow.
For families with small children we recommend the beautiful restaurant and the adjacent playground which you’ll see when you reach the top. With children from the age of 5, the panorama path and the descent to the Breitlauenen intermediate station, where you can buy delicious mountain cheese, are absolutely worthwhile.
Allmendhubel Alpine Playground

One of the most beautiful playgrounds in the region, with a breathtaking mountain backdrop.
