After a short breakfast, we start from the Mönchsjochhütte.
We descend via the hut approach to the Jungfraujoch.
There we rope up and hike over the glacier to the spur.
Over snow we reach the rocks and climb up over the spur to the breakfast spot.
After a short break we mount the crampons and continue our tour to the Rottalsattel.
To reach it, we have to make quite an effort and climb up 50 metres in snow and ice. This is probably the key section of the tour today.
After the Rottalsattel comes the traverse and the last ascent over snow and rocks to the summit of the Jungfrau.
We made it! At 8.10 a.m. nine of us stand on the summit of the Jungfrau, congratulate each other and enjoy the unique view from up there.
The descent back to the Rottalsattel requires full concentration once again. From here we descend directly through the glacier and back to the Jungfraujoch.
At 11.15 a.m. we meet our colleagues Tatjana and Michelle on the Jungfraujoch, who were with Loïc on the Mönch.
